My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.

I was a tremendous geek in high school. And if you haven’t been able to tell by my blog, I still am. ‘Cept this time, I own it. This time, I’m proud of it.
Anyway, for some reason I got nostalgic and accessed my high-school yearbook from my graduating year because I was curious as to what answers I’d given in those stupid surveys they make you do. Naturally, once I’d read them I was embarrassed of the answers I’d given, but not embarrassed enough to post them here. I’ve also given my answers a 2011 update.
What does this have to do with writing you may ask? There’s one answer that hasn’t changed. Technically, two, but the second one is different because the context has changed. Oh, just humor me okay? I’m tired. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you get there.
That cliché your mom told you about kids starving in Africa to get you to finish all your dinner is actually true.
Except eating everything on your plate won’t help with what’s going on in East Africa right now. But listening to Bob Marley can! Download the vintage but timeless track “High Tide or Low Tide” on iTunes and the proceeds will go towards helping this cause.
I believe we’re on this Earth to help each other out! That’s why I’ve already done my part! Now it’s your turn. The track is only $1.29; I’m sure we can spare at least that much!
